DIY Diamond Galaxy Canvas

Hellooo,

So I know I am awful at keeping my blog updated. I am just such a lazy person. I actually have so many ideas and DIYs and things to share but I just keep procrastinating everything and eventually I end up updating my blog once every few weeks.

Hopefully I can be more motivated to update my blog in the coming weeks. It's really fun to do new posts but arghhh...I AM JUST SO LAZYYY :(

Anyway, here is my long overdue post on this diamond galaxy canvas that I made few days (or weeks) ago and posted it on my instagram. I did capture the entire process just so I could post it here. This is not my idea though, I found this room decor idea on youtube and the link is here:

So you can watch the whole process here if you are interested. I will just post pictures of how I did mine and how the end product looked like. This is such an easy project and you don't need to be a super fantastic artist to do this. Just some time and patience because there is A LOT of blending. And yes I know, this DIY is very similar to my previous post. I just love anything galaxy-ish so much. It's my favourite thing to do because it's just so easy and fun.

You will need a thick sticky tape and a thin sticky tape

And  a canvas and some acrylic paints. Now just continue sticking the sticky tapes in the following pattern:

Now take blue acrylic and dab randomly on it using a sponge. I used a makeup sponge

then some purple

Some red

then more purple and blue and blend with red

Use lighter purple other areas and a darker blue for areas where you added blue and purple to add more depth

You can use some light blue on the corners and top

Dab some yellow

Then use black for areas you want to make it dark

Then finally use a toothbrush, dip it in white paint and spray it all over for stars

And when you remove the tape you should have something as clean and sharp as this :) I understand I messed up the shape of the diamond a little bit because I sticky taped it wrongly and I couldn't remove it after that for some reason. So I just had to let it be how it was and continue with my work. But I think it still came out pretty decent. And I really love it

So here was my quick DIY canvas room decor post. It really does look very pretty in the room. Do give it a try if you want to do something to kill time or just have some fun with paints :)

I am very sleepy right now so I will go and sleep. Hopefully I can update soon again on this blog again

Goodnight :)
